About the project

Let’s Remember the Good Times explores the persuasive power of propaganda, advertising, and visual communication. The project challenged me to create a propaganda-inspired poster that either celebrated a product from before 2000 or critiqued a product introduced after 2000, using visual storytelling to influence how an audience perceives it.

Process

I chose to highlight the nostalgia of the Olympus Trip 35, a film camera that has regained popularity for its grainy, unedited aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from advertising and visual culture from the ’80s through the early 2000s, I used nostalgic imagery, bold typography, and vintage-inspired design elements to capture the charm of film photography and celebrate the beauty of imperfect moments.
